About Metrology Center
A division of B.C. MacDonald & Co., Metrology Center was created in 2006 by third-generation owners Ted and Reggie MacDonald on the enduring principle that manufacturers must continue to improve their return on gaging and metrology investments. While tolerances, part complexity and manufacturing methodologies have changed dramatically over the years, the requirement to verify part-to-print accuracy remains the same.
Located in Lisle, Ill., Metrology Center has partnered with leading gaging and metrology manufacturers to serve the Chicagoland area with an emphasis on gaging and metrology solutions and localized technical support.
In 2014 the facility doubled in size, which allows for housing of hundreds of tools from handheld micrometers and calipers to table-top optical comparators and advanced multi-sensor measurement systems.
Today Concept Machine Tool is excited to announce the acquisition of B.C. MacDonald & Co. and its subsidiary Metrology Center. The acquisition positions both companies for growth, and together reaches nine states including Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska.
“Acquiring B.C. MacDonald makes Concept a stronger partner for our customers and suppliers,” said Andrew Hecker, CEO of Concept Machine. “With B.C. MacDonald’s rich history, strong team, complementary geography and product lines, and a similar dedication to delivering the right solutions for its customers as Concept, this is a great match. We are investing for growth.”
